Drop In Media developed a set of highly configurable and reusable applications.
Trivia Game
Trivia sends to the user questions and multiple choice answers. The user responds
with a letter and the correct answers are tallied at the end of the round. The user
may play as many rounds, as there are available questions. Feedback sent to the
user is highly customizable, and is randomly picked from a set of configurable responses.
Quiz
Quiz is similar to Trivia, except there are no rounds and the user must complete the
full quiz to receive a 'qualification' response (eg, your personality is "Moody", etc).
This application can be used for personality tests, driving tests, SAT tests, IQ tests
and more.
Quotations Application
Quotation is a highly reusable application that sends configurable set of quotations to the
user, either upon demand (the user sends keyword) or via a customizable schedule. This
application works well with concepts such as "Word of the Day", "Joke of the Day",
iChing Wisdom, Slang Dictionary, and many more.
Weather Application
A highly sophisticated application that collects various public domain weather information
(eg, from NOAA) and constructs a configurable weather string for a given/requested location.
A very successful instance of this application is ChargeHard.COM
surf alert, and also surf alert launched for SurfPulse.COM
brand. Alternative configurations of this application could produce, eg snow alert, rain alert, etc.
Chat / Discussion List
This is an SMS equivalent of the "majordomo" type list-serv. People
can subscribe, post messages to the whole list (as long as they have been approved
by the moderator). This module is perfect for social clubs and communities.
